Eliminating the Pricing Guesswork with Flat Rate Conference Call Services

Fact vs Fiction

One of the nice things about using the flat rate for a conference calling service is that it eliminates all at the guesswork and variables.  Using this type of payment plan is easy to predict how much that you're going to be paying for your conferencing session.  When looking into a flat rate, most services offer a per minute flat rate, although there may be some services, although rare, who offer unlimited service with a monthly payment schedule.

However, when setting up your service there still may be some other charges or set up fees that apply before you begin.  Some companies may require you to have a contract.  This is very much like the contract that you may have signed when you got your cell phone plan.  It could be designated for certain period of time such as one or two years.  In addition to a contract, there may be a "minimum" fee that applies.  This is usually more common with services who charge a flat rate per minute plan.  These companies require you to spend a certain amount of money regardless of whether or not you actually spend that much time or money on your conference call.  All of the guesswork mentioned in this paragraph can easily be eliminated by getting a dedicated operator and asking him/her what are all of the upfront set up fees are.

While you have the operator on the phone, ask them what types of payment they accept.  Either find out from their web site or ask the operator how to fund the account.  Most would either accept Paypal or credit card.
