Keeping the View Clear in Sin City

A Professional Washing from Start to Finish

Las Vegas window cleaning is little different than the rest of the country for a number of reasons; the main ones being the desert weather. New home construction also kicks up quite a bit of dust in the neighboring areas. Rain is not much of a concern in the Las Vegas valley like more humid climates.
So what should a complete window washing job consist of? Simple really; in/out, tracks, sills, and screens make up a complete window cleaning job. Taking the time to move furniture so as not to damage it, and lay down drop cloths where necessaryto take extra caution show the professionalism of the company and care for the customer. Cleaning the tracks and sills also shows more support for doing a thorough job as opposed to just a slop job bare minimum cleaning involving nothing more than just the panes of the glass).
Screens need real attention to get truly clean. Stay away from window cleaners who use the dry brushing method.  Dry Brushing is simply taking a brush to a dry screenand trying to knock off dust and dirt no detergent or water is used. This never works completely and often leaves obvious strokemarks. The best way to clean screens involves a mild detergent, patience, a fresh bristled brush, and a small amount of elbow grease. In my professional view, if you were to just freshen up the screens properly, that alone would make an outstanding difference in the presentation of your home in Las Vegas.
$3 plus per window. It is also a good idea to straighten out with the window cleaner what is getting cleaned for the money you are being charged and what is not being cleaned.
As a window cleaning professional I find that doing a full service cleaning once a year is sufficient for most customers while regularly cleaning the outsides at least 3-4 times a year. Living on a golf course that uses very hard water is an example of one of the areas that must have their windows washed on a more frequent basis to avoid hard water buildup.
In addition to window cleaning, many window cleaners also dust pot shelves, high areas, change filters in air returns, remove pigeons, hang Christmas lights, and many related household chores involving a ladder.
Asking for references is good idea and should be readily supplied by any professional window cleaning company. It is important to the life of a window cleaning business to have repeat business for long term growth.
